Success Special Education PTO will present, The Legal Rights of Children and Parents Under Special Education Law, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Willington Public Library, 7 Ruby Road.
This talk is open to residents of Willington and neighboring towns.
Success Special Education PTO is a resource for parents and families in Willington, Tolland, Stafford, Ashford, Mansfield and surrounding areas.
It meets monthly at the Willington Public Library. Meetings regularly feature speakers and presentations on topics of interest to parents.

At the Oct. 16 meeting, Atty. David Shaw will explain the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (also known as IDEA) and the legal rights conferred to children and parents by this federal law.
State Sen. Tony Guglielmo also will be present to receive the group’s Spirit of SEPTO Award.
Coming up – “Spectrum Unplugged” returns to Willington on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Don’t miss this panel of young adults with autism as they talk about their challenges and achievements.
All children are welcome. There will be a lunch of pizza and beverages.
